HOUSE RESOLUTION
relating to committee assignments of the house of representatives of the twenty-seventh legislature.
BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2014, that RICHARD CREAGAN, who has been duly appointed and seated as a member of the House of Representatives from the Fifth Representative District to fill the vacancy created by the resignation of former Representative Denny Coffman, shall be a member of the Consumer Protection & Commerce Committee, Judiciary Committee, Health Committee, Housing Committee, and Human Services Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that KEN ITO shall be a member of the Economic Development & Business Committee, and shall remain as the Vice Chair of the Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts Committee and a member of the Consumer Protection & Commerce Committee and Judiciary Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that JESSICA WOOLEY shall be a member of the Economic Development & Business Committee and Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts Committee, and shall remain as the Chair of the Agriculture Committee and a member of the Judiciary Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that K. MARK TAKAI shall be a member of the Tourism Committee, and shall remain as the Chair of the Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts Committee and a member of the Education Committee and Higher Education Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that SHARON E. HAR shall be a member of the Transportation Committee, Labor & Public Employment Committee, and Public Safety Committee, and shall remain as the Vice Chair of the Judiciary Committee and a member of the Consumer Protection & Commerce Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that SCOTT Y. NISHIMOTO shall be a member of the Energy & Environmental Protection Committee, Ocean, Marine Resources, & Hawaiian Affairs Committee, and Water & Land Committee, and shall remain as the Chair of the Legislative Management Committee and a Vice Chair of the Finance Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that MELE CARROLL shall no longer be a member of the Consumer Protection & Commerce Committee and Judiciary Committee, but shall remain as the Chair of the Human Services Committee and a member of the Health Committee and Housing Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that MARK M. NAKASHIMA shall be a member of the Consumer Protection & Commerce Committee and Judiciary Committee; shall no longer be a member of the Education Committee and Higher Education Committee; but shall remain as the Chair of the Labor & Public Employment Committee and a member of the Public Safety Committee and Transportation Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that MARK J. HASHEM shall be the Chair of the Housing Committee and a member of the Health Committee and Human Services Committee; shall no longer be the Vice Chair of the Labor & Public Employment Committee and a member of the Public Safety Committee and Transportation Committee; but shall remain as a member of the Finance Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that LINDA ICHIYAMA shall no longer be the Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee but shall remain as the Vice Chair of the Higher Education Committee and a member of the Education Committee, Labor & Public Employment Committee, Public Safety Committee, and Transportation Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that GREGG TAKAYAMA shall be the Vice Chair of the Transportation Committee and a member of the Labor & Public Employment Committee and Public Safety Committee; shall no longer be a member of the Agriculture Committee, Economic Development & Business Committee, Veterans, Military, & International Affairs, & Culture and the Arts Committee, and Tourism Committee; but shall remain as a member of the Finance Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that KYLE T. YAMASHITA shall be the Vice Chair of the Labor & Public Employment Committee, and shall remain as a member of the Finance Committee, Public Safety Committee, and Transportation Committee; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that except as amended by this Resolution, all appointments and committee memberships of the House of Representatives adopted by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2013 and Second Special Session of 2013, shall remain in full force and effect, it being understood that the name of DENNY COFFMAN, wherever the name appears in H.R. No. 4 adopted by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of 2013, and H.R. No. 1 adopted by the House of Representatives of the Twenty-seventh Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Second Special Session of 2013, is deleted.
