A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE TWENTY-FOURTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2015-2016.
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Halau Ku Mana public charter school, Oahu
Construction of a restroom facility, a learning
pavilion, a rain shelter, awnings, an open air
facility for learning and meals, an education pavilion
and related infrastructure including an on site
wastewater system, fire hydrant, water and electrical upgrades and parking areas and driveways.

B. Lincoln elementary school, Oahu
Plans, design, construction, and equipment for air
conditioning in the classrooms of four buildings.

C. Queen Kaahumanu elementary school, Oahu
Construction and equipment to build a digital learning
center with computers, tablets, work stations, and
chairs for the digital learning center.

D. Roosevelt high school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a new
gymnasium and additional parking; ground and site
improvements; equipment and appurtenances.
Design $1,425,000
Construction $18,600,000

E. Stevenson middle school, Oahu
Construction to increase the height of an existing
retaining wall.
Construction $10,000
Total funding $10,000
F. Stevenson middle school, Oahu
Construction and equipment to install ductless
split air conditioning units to cool the school's
servers, networking equipment, and phone system.
Construction $3,000
Equipment $3,000
Total funding $6,000
2. To be expended by the department of land and natural
resources:
A. Planning for the development of Tantalus and Roundtop drive master plan, Oahu
Planning $450,000
Total funding $450,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2015.
