A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO DOMESTIC VIOLENCE.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  Of the federal fund appropriation for the department of human services, there is appropriated federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) funds in the sum of $           or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2011-2012 and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2012-2013 to assist victims of domestic violence.  The TANF funds appropriated may be used pursuant to federal guidelines for victims of domestic violence.

     The sums appropriated shall be expended by the department of human services for the purpose of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
