Requires any unexpended or unencumbered general fund appropriations designated for the State's early learning system for fiscal year 2008-2009 to lapse into the Keiki First Steps Trust Fund. (HB395 HD1)

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO EARLY LEARNING.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  Any fiscal year 2008-2009 general fund appropriations for comprehensive student support services (EDN 150) that is designated for the early learning system under chapter 302L, Hawaii Revised Statutes, that are unexpended or unencumbered by the end of fiscal year 2008-2009 shall lapse into the keiki first steps trust fund on June 30, 2009.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on June 29, 2009.
