TWENTY-EIGHTH LEGISLATURE, 2016
STATE OF HAWAII

A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ELEVENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 

     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2016-2017.

     1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Kamalii elementary school, Maui

Design, construction, and equipment for a multi-purpose building; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

Design                             $800,000

Construction                     $5,000,000

Equipment                           $50,000

Total funding                    $5,850,000

B.   Kihei elementary school, Maui

     Design and construction for electrical upgrades and/or photovoltaic improvements; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

     Design                             $250,000

Construction                     $1,750,000

Total funding                    $2,000,000

C.   Kihei high school, Maui

     Design and construction for Phase II of the school.

Design                           $1,000,000

Construction                    $74,000,000

Total funding                   $75,000,000

D.   Lokelani intermediate school, Maui

     Design and construction for restroom renovations at various buildings; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

Design                             $150,000

Construction                       $900,000

Total funding                    $1,050,000

2.   To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

     A.   Kihei boat ramp, Maui

Design and construction for safety and other improvements to the boat ramp.

Design                                  $100,000

Construction                            $900,000

Total funding                         $1,000,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
