A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

RELATING TO THE MILITARY.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $         or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2018-2019 for the establishment of one full-time equivalent (1.00 FTE) permanent cybersecurity analyst position that shall be exempt from the requirements of chapter 76, Hawaii Revised Statutes, within the department of defense to assist in analyzing and developing protocols and other cybersecurity measures for the military and other components of the department.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of defense for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on March 19, 2100.
