A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

relating to capital improvement projects for the benefit of the forty-fifth representative district.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2012-2013:

     1.   To be expended by the department of education:

     A.   Waianae high school, Oahu

Design and construction for the merging of SP and T buildings to create additional classrooms and a production area.

Design                                  $300,000

Construction                          $2,700,000

Total funding                         $3,000,000

     B.   Waianae high school, Oahu

Design and construction for rubberized all-weather track and field.

Design                                  $150,000

Construction                          $1,350,000

Total funding                         $1,500,000

     C.   Waianae intermediate school, Oahu

Design and construction for the installation of security cameras.

Design                                    $5,000

Construction                             $45,000

Total funding                            $50,000

     D.   Kamaile elementary school, Oahu

Plans, land, and design for school expansion.

Plans                                    $50,000

Land                                    $250,000

Design                                  $200,000

Total funding                           $500,000

     E.   Leihoku elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction for the installation of security cameras.

Design                                    $1,000

Construction                              $9,000

Total funding                            $10,000

     F.   Makaha elementary school, Oahu

Construction for Americans with Disabilities Act transition accessibility.

Construction                            $375,000

Total funding                           $375,000

     G.   Waianae elementary school, Oahu

Design and construction of a new school administration building.

Construction                          $4,000,000

Total funding                         $5,000,000

     2.   To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:

A.   Waianae small boat harbor, Oahu

     Construction for road and parking repairs.

     Construction                          $1,500,000

     Total funding                         $1,500,000

B.   Makua Kaena state park, Oahu

Design and construction for a pump facility and service line repair.

Design                                   $50,000

Construction                            $250,000

Total funding                           $300,000

C.   Puhawai Culvert, Oahu

Construction for Puhawai culvert replacement.

Construction                          $2,000,000

Total funding                         $2,000,000

     SECTION 2.  The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agencies for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 3.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2012.
