A BILL FOR AN ACT

 

 

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO ASSIST COMMUNITIES WITH THE REMOVAL OF MOTOR VEHICLE TIRES.

 

 

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:

 


     SECTION 1.  There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $        or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2014-2015 to assist communities affected by discarded or abandoned tires by providing funds for programs promoting the removal from the landscape of abandoned tires that have been illegally dumped, including funding county abandoned tire removal programs that have been established in accordance with the requirements under chapter 342I, Hawaii Revised Statutes.

     The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of health for the purposes of this Act.

     SECTION 2.  This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2050.
