A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE FORTY-EIGHTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2018-2019:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Ahuimanu elementary school, Oahu
Design, construction, and equipment for a covered patio to be used as an indoor recess area; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $80,000
Construction $160,000
Equipment $50,000
Total funding $290,000
B. Heeia elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction of a security gate for building E; and ground and site improvements.
Design $100,000
Construction $160,000
Total funding $260,000
C. James B. Castle high school, Oahu
Design and construction to widen the front entrance driveway and make necessary security upgrades; and ground and site improvements.
Design $150,000
Construction $250,000
Total funding $400,000
D. Kaneohe elementary school, Oahu
Construction and equipment for a net zero modular classroom including a driveway and parking area; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Construction $800,000
Equipment $200,000
Total funding $1,000,000
E. Kapunahala elementary school, Oahu
Construction and equipment for a portable building; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Construction $800,000
Equipment $200,000
Total funding $1,000,000
F. Reverend Benjamin Parker elementary school, Oahu
Design and construction for auwai drainage improvements to prevent flooding; ground and site improvements.
Design $150,000
Construction $250,000
Total funding $400,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2018.
