A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO THE DEPARTMENT OF HAWAIIAN HOME LANDS.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii the sum of $28,478,966 or so much thereof as may be necessary for fiscal year 2016-2017 to reimburse the department of Hawaiian home lands administrative and operating costs, which were expensed by the department of Hawaiian home lands special and trust funds for fiscal year 2016.
Funds appropriated shall be deposited into the Hawaiian home administration account to facilitate the reimbursement of administrative and operating expenses paid by the department of Hawaiian home lands' special and trust funds.
The sum appropriated shall be expended by the department of Hawaiian home lands for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 2. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2016.
