A BILL FOR AN ACT
relating to capital improvements for the benefit of the twenty-third representative district.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
1. To be expended by the department of human services:
A. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Construction for roofing and gutters, exterior
building paint.
Construction $230,000
Total funding $230,000
B. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Construction for ADA signage and exterior signs.
Construction $5,000
Total funding $5,000
C. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Construction for ADA signage of accessible entrances. Construction $8,000
Total funding $8,000
D. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Construction to level floor in building A.
Construction $5,000
Total funding $5,000
E. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Construction to replace railings, handrails, and gates in buildings A & E.
Construction $80,000
Total funding $80,000
F. Waikiki community center, Oahu
Construction to replace stairway railings.
Construction $7,000
Total funding $7,000

Construction to install ADA-compliant handrails, building H. Construction $4,000

Construction for ADA-accessible ramps on the Ohua street side of the auditorium, back entrance of building H, and front and back of chapel.

Construction of campus-wide ADA-compliant public restrooms.

Construction for installation of elevator access to the second floor of building.

Construction to replace interior plumbing, sinks,
and fixtures to meet ADA requirements.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
