A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ELEVENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The following sums, or so much thereof as shall be sufficient to finance the projects listed in this Act, are hereby appropriated out of the general revenues of the State of Hawaii for fiscal year 2019-2020:
1. To be expended by the department of education:
A. Lokelani intermediate school, Maui
Plans, design, and construction for a new administration and library building; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

Design $10,000,000
Construction $7,000,000
Total funding $17,500,000
B. Lokelani intermediate school, Maui
Design and construction to renovate building J into a wellness center with a fitness room and private showers and new locker rooms for students; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $400,000
Construction $2,600,000
Total funding $3,000,000
C. Lokelani intermediate school, Maui
Design and construction for a traffic loop for student drop-off and pick-up; and ground and site improvements.
Design $400,000
Construction $3,600,000
Total funding $4,000,000
D. Lokelani intermediate school, Maui
Design and construction to install an ADA ramp for the dining room stage; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.
Design $20,000
Construction $50,000
Total funding $70,000
2. To be expended by the department of land and natural resources:
A. South Maui state lands, Maui
Plans, design, and construction for a comprehensive master plan for public shoreline access for the department of land and natural resources managed parcels on the south Maui shoreline.

Construction $3,500,000
Total funding $5,000,000
3. To be expended by the department of transportation:
A. Kihei high school safe crossing, Maui
Plans, design, and construction for an underpass/overpass at Piilani highway in the vicinity of the new Kihei high school; ground and site improvements; and equipment and appurtenances.

Total funding $10,000,000
SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2019.
