A BILL FOR AN ACT
RELATING TO CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECTS FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE ELEVENTH REPRESENTATIVE DISTRICT.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF HAWAII:
SECTION 1. The director of finance is authorized to issue general obligation bonds in the sum of $30,195,000 or so much thereof as may be necessary and the same sum or so much thereof as may be necessary is appropriated for fiscal year 2011-2012 for the purpose of financing the capital improvement projects listed in this Act.
I. To be expended by the Department of Education:
A. Kamalii Elementary School, Maui
(1) Electrical upgrade of school

B. Kihei Elementary School, Maui
(1) Plans, design, and construction for the renovation of the administration/library building.

C. Lokelani Intermediate School, Maui
(1) Design and construction for electrical upgrades.

(2) Plans, design, and construction for a six classroom building.

(3) Design and construction for architectural barrier removal.

(4) Plans, design, and construction for renovation of administration/library building.

SECTION 2. The sums appropriated for the respective capital projects set forth in section 1 shall be expended by the designated expending agency for the purposes of this Act.
SECTION 3. The appropriation made for the capital improvement project authorized by this Act shall not lapse at the end of the fiscal biennium for which the appropriation is made; provided that all moneys from the appropriation unencumbered as of June 30, 2014, shall lapse as of that date.
SECTION 4. This Act shall take effect on July 1, 2011.
