Summary

Requires the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation to conduct a study to determine the feasibility of using artificial intelligence technology to assist the Department with improving safety at correctional institutions. Authorizes the Department to contract with consultants to conduct the study. Requires a report to the Legislature. Appropriates moneys. Declares that the appropriation exceeds the state general fund expenditure ceiling for fiscal year 2024-2025.
