Summary

Amends section 302A-854, HRS, to require the department of health, in consultation with the University of Hawaii school of nursing and dental hygiene, to provide training and clinical direction to school health aides until June 30, 2014. Repeals section 302A708, HRS, which requires the department of education to provide career pathways development and training opportunities to school health aides in the department's school health services field. Requires the department of education and department of health to enter into a memorandum of understanding relating to the training of school health aides and submit a copy to the legislature no later than twenty days prior to the convening of the regular session of 2014. Effective 7/1/2050. (SD2)
