Summary
Amends Part VI of section 39A, Hawaii Revised Statutes, to include special purpose revenue bonds for assisting utilities serving the general public in providing telecommunications. Authorizes the issuance of $100,000,000 in special purpose revenue bonds to assist Clearcom, Inc., or a partnership headed by Clearcom, Inc., with planning, permitting, designing, constructing, equipping, and operating broadband infrastructure throughout the State. Lapses the authorization to issue special purpose revenue bonds on June 30, 2017. (CD1)
