RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Allison Miller Johnson on the occasion of her retirement; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Allison Miller Johnson has long been recognized by the citizens of this state
for the vital role that she has played in the teaching profession and her deep
personal commitment to the education of the students of Georgia;
and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Johnson has dedicated an amazing 28 years to molding young minds and
challenging students to achieve their utmost potential through her work in the
field of education; and
WHEREAS,
she has enriched and improved the lives of countless future leaders through her
dedicated service with the Gwinnett County Public School System and the City of
Buford School System; and
WHEREAS,
she has been honored numerous times, including the STAR Teacher award twice at
Central Gwinnett High School and once at Collins Hill High School and the
Teacher of the Year award at Central Gwinnett High School; and
WHEREAS,
Ms. Johnson is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS,
her passion for uplifting the lives of others through education and her unique
gift of finding a balance between high academic expectations and genuine concern
and care for her students serve as an example for all educators;
and
WHEREAS,
in recognition of her contributions to the students in this state, it is
abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary
commitment and accomplishments of this outstanding
individual.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily and gratefully commend Allison Miller Johnson for her decades of sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia and recognize the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of countless young people in this state.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body heartily and gratefully commend Allison Miller Johnson for her decades of sacrifice, foresight, accomplishment, and contributions on behalf of education in Georgia and recognize the positive influence she has had upon the lives and futures of countless young people in this state.

IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Allison Miller Johnson.
