RESOLUTION
Recognizing
the annual Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry and commending Eli Tinsley, Jamie
Fernandez, Wallace Mathis, Bub Denham, and the Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry
cooking team; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
the members of the Georgia General Assembly have come to eagerly anticipate the
annual Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry which will be held on Wednesday, February
15, 2012; and
WHEREAS,
certain urban legislators, long deprived of real country cooking, having resided
for too many days within the confines of the metro area and longing for the
taste of fried catfish and hush puppies, are hereby presented the opportunity to
satisfy their cravings; and
WHEREAS,
Eli Tinsley, Chairman of the Cordele-Crisp Chamber of Commerce, City of Cordele
Commissioner Jamie Fernandez, Crisp County Board of Commissioners Chairman
Wallace Mathis, and Crisp County Power Commission Chairman Bub Denham are the
recognized spokespersons for the Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry; and
WHEREAS,
it is fitting and proper to recognize and commend these dedicated civic leaders
for rescuing those urban legislators from unexciting food fare and bringing a
taste of home to rural legislators by hosting this delicious event.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize
the Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry and commend Eli Tinsley, Jamie Fernandez,
Wallace Mathis, Bub Denham, and the Cordele-Crisp County Fish Fry cooking
team.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to the aforementioned
spokespersons and cooking team.
