RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending the Flowery Branch Parachute Packers; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
Parachute Packers have long been recognized for the vital role that they have
played in leadership and their dedication to supporting deployed servicemen and
women and by helping out back home in their community; and
WHEREAS,
Parachute Packers of Flowery Branch have sponsored the Army Reserve's Unit;
and
WHEREAS,
the club first helped Gainesville-based 802nd Ordnance Company; and
WHEREAS,
the members collect, pack and ship personalized care packages overseas for
families which include food, fun items and necessitites soldiers need during
their deployment; and
WHEREAS,
their community work includes setting up events at Flowery Branch High and
working with the Family Readiness Group in Gainesville; and
WHEREAS,
their service is for the success of others; and
WHEREAS,
the significant organizational service of this club have earned the respect and
admiration of their fellow citizens; and
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Flowery Branch Parachute Packers for their selfless service to their community
and extend to them the best wishes for their near and distant
future.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Flowery Branch Parachute
Packers.
