A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the 2011 Senate administrative assistants on their exemplary service; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, each year the Georgia Senate relies on staff members to ensure that the business of the body runs efficiently, smoothly, and effectively; and

WHEREAS, the administrative assistants of the Senate demonstrated a commitment to ensuring the proper administration of the legislative process and to handling constituent needs with care and compassion; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia Senate has been very fortunate to have had the exceptional service of administrative assistants, whose work is consistently marked by their devotion to helping citizens and their constant commitment to the highest standards of excellence; and

WHEREAS, members of the Senate salute the administrative assistants of the 2011 legislative session for their hard work and a job well done: Anna Boggs, Javier Brown, Debra Charnote, Kathleen Cominski, Betty Conner, Beverly Crumbley, Marcie Draper, Vicki Gibbs, Diana Hauser, Susan Henry, Robi Herron, Tarika Jackson, Karla Johnson, Ines Kovacevic, Judy LaClair, Jackie Leathers, Audrey Lee, Lauren McDonald, Donna Nealey, Lauren Randall, Jachque' Ratliff, Denese Sampson, Rita Smith, Laurie Sparks, Karen Thompson, Angela Touhy, Phyllis Walker, Marcia Wallace, Mary Whiting, Cyndi Williams, and Donna Yeomans; and

WHEREAS, these distinguished Georgians' hard work and dedication have been enormous assets to the citizens of Georgia, and all the members of the General Assembly greatly appreciate the invaluable service of administrative assistants who enable their business to run smoothly and successfully.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the Senate administrative assistants for the 2011 regular session on their superb performance.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to each of the 2011 Senate administrative assistants.
