A RESOLUTION


Commending the 2011 Senate aides for their exemplary service; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, each year the Senate relies on the citizens of Georgia who are interested in the legislative process to work as aides to the Senate committees and its leadership; and

WHEREAS, these individuals are from many varied backgrounds and from all areas of the state and have demonstrated a commitment to ensuring the efficient and effective administration of Senate committee hearings; and

WHEREAS, the Georgia Senate has been very fortunate to have had the exceptional service of legislative aides, whose work has been marked by a devotion to helping citizens and a constant commitment to the highest standards of excellence; and

WHEREAS, chairpersons and members of the standing committees and Senate leadership salute each of these 23 individuals for their hard work and a job well done: William Adeimy, Lora Alsher, Jackie Charron, Daniel Coats, Jim Elgar, Trey Ennis, Emily Fisher, Joel Graham, Caroline Howard, Gerald Huang, Christiana Loudermilk, Zach Louis, Lavinia Luca, Nathan Makla, Alina Miclea, Lanier Roland, John Sharpe, Ashley Speagle, Adam Sweat, Zoie Thompson, Emily Tomberlin, Brandon Ursrey, and Kaitlyn Whiteside; and

WHEREAS, these distinguished Georgians' hard work and dedication have been enormous assets to the citizens of Georgia, and all the members of the General Assembly greatly appreciate the invaluable service of aides who enable their business to run smoothly and successfully.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend the Senate aides for the 2011 regular session on their superb performance and convey their best wishes to each of them for success and happiness in their future pursuits.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit appropriate copies of this resolution to each of the 2011 Senate aides.
