RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Mrs. Alice Treece; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Alice Treece has earned a reputation for community service and selfless
dedication to others that has been recognized by
TowneLaker
magazine with her honor as a Pathfinder of the Month; and
WHEREAS,
after moving to Cherokee County in 2005, Mrs. Treece vowed to get involved in
her new community and make a difference; and
WHEREAS,
Mrs. Treece began her service to Cherokee County with the BridgeMill Sixes
Service League assisting with various fund-raising projects that benefitted many
charitable organizations throughout the county; and
WHEREAS,
this kindhearted and magnanimous woman also dedicated innumerable hours of her
time, talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community working with
the nonprofit organization, MUST Ministries, serving as the coordinator of the
summer lunch program and seasonal holiday program and organizing the Christmas
toy shop that provides gifts to more than 1,400 local children; and
WHEREAS,
after devoting countless hours to the MUST Ministry, Mrs. Treece was hired by
the charity as Director of Major Gifts and is responsible for securing large
donations on behalf of the organization from individuals, businesses, and
foundations; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
citizens of this state have earned her the respect and admiration of her
colleagues and those to whom she lends a helping hand every day;
and
WHEREAS,
the benevolent and honorable deeds of this charitable woman serve as a shining
example of volunteerism, and the State of Georgia is honored and blessed to have
Mrs. Treece as a citizen.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend
Mrs. Alice Treece on her selfless contributions and congratulate her on the
honorable distinction of being named
TowneLaker
magazine's Pathfinder of the Month.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Mrs. Alice Treece.
