RESOLUTION
Urging
the United States Department of the Treasury to shred all old $100.00 bills when
the new $100.00 bills are brought into circulation; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
destroying old $100.00 bills when the United States Department of the Treasury
brings new $100.00 bills into circulation will flush out the underground economy
of illegal drug sales and other illegal activity.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body urge the
United States Department of the Treasury to shred all old $100.00 bills when the
new $100.00 bills are brought into circulation.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to the United States
Department of the Treasury.
