A RESOLUTION


Recognizing and commending Pastor Herman Parker; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Pastor Herman Parker has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical, psychological, intellectual, and spiritual needs of others; and

WHEREAS, Pastor Parker has been serving in the ministry for 52 years and came to First Baptist Church of Bremen, Georgia, in 1992; and

WHEREAS, he serves as chairman of the executive committee and a member of the administrative committee of the Georgia Baptist Convention, chaplain of the Bremen High School football team, and is an active member of the Haralson County Pastors Association; and

WHEREAS, over the past five decades leading, Pastor Parker has established numerous programs and workshops which have improved the spiritual and educational growth of the church and the surrounding community; and

WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Pastor Parker is a source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life and from all economic strata; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered on behalf of persons in need.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Pastor Herman Parker for his exemplary fellowship and leadership in the name of God and extend best wishes for many more years of successful fellowship and leadership.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Pastor Herman Parker.
