Staton of the 18th, Rogers of the 21st and Gooch of the 51st offered the
following amendment:
Amend
SB 459 by deleting "may"
on line 4 and
inserting in lieu thereof "shall
not".
By
deleting the colon at the end of line 12 and deleting lines 13 through 15 and
inserting in lieu thereof the
following:
provide that consumers may elect not to use smart meters of any investor owned electric light and power company subject to regulation by the commission; provided, however, that the commission shall not create and regulate a surcharge for consumers who make such an election.
