RESOLUTION
Honoring
Miracle's Mile, Miracle Parham Williams, and the many children within the State
of Georgia who have left us much too soon; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Miracle Parham Williams was a 14 year old, 9th grader at Henry County High
school, who tragically died on October 5, 2010; and
WHEREAS,
in her short life, Miracle touched her community through her acts of kindness
and love; and
WHEREAS,
Miracle is among hundreds of children across the State of Georgia who have left
us too soon, and the Miracle's Mile event serves to pay tribute to the memory of
these dear children and provide support for their families; and
WHEREAS,
Miracle's parents, Winston and Sandra Williams, wish to thank the community for
the support they received in their hour of grief and to help other families
remember the lives of their children; and
WHEREAS,
the Miracle's Mile event is an opportunity for communities to come together in a
spirit of love, compassion, and togetherness, and the day shall be marked as one
of remembrance, celebration, and healing in order to forever keep the love and
memories of our children in our hearts.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body honor the life and memory of Miracle Parham Williams and commend her
family on their efforts to promote remembrance and strength through the
Miracle's Mile event.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Winston and
Sandra Williams.
