RESOLUTION
Commending
Lindsey Napier; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Lindsey Napier is recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role
that she has played in community leadership and her deep personal commitment to
the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS,
she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of this state as evidenced
dramatically by her superlative service as a legal extern for the Speaker of the
House of Representatives during the 2006 Regular Session of the General Assembly
of Georgia and, since 2007, as counsel for the House Committee on Ways and
Means; and
WHEREAS,
her equanimity, professionalism, and good will serves her in good stead as she
exercises her many duties on behalf of all of the members of this body and in
particular the gentleman from the 146th District; and
WHEREAS,
this superlative tax scholar has proven to be bright, capable, resourceful, and
supremely competent and demonstrates consistent and extraordinary expertise in
the arcana of tax law; and
WHEREAS,
her significant organizational and leadership talents, her remarkable patience
and diplomacy, her keen sense of vision, and her sensitivity to the needs of the
members of the General Assembly have earned her the respect and admiration of
her colleagues and associates; and
WHEREAS,
she is a focused, fast, efficient, and tireless worker with exceptional
communication skills and is unflappable during the debate of contentious and
difficult issues which are the stuff of daily life in the House Committee on
Ways and Means; and
WHEREAS,
in her capacity as a tax analyst and committee counsel, her daily demonstrations
of clear thinking, diplomacy, tact, and compromise have assisted the committee
immeasurably each session as it annually grinds its way through the heaviest
workload of any committee in the House; and
WHEREAS,
her work ethic is unmatched as she is unafraid of hard work and untroubled by
overtime; her self-motivation propels her through all tasks regardless of
difficulty; and she is recognized as a producer of results and not of excuses;
and
WHEREAS,
it is wholly fitting and proper that the superb accomplishments of this renowned
legislative staff member be recognized appropriately.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend Lindsey Napier for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to the citizens of this state; thank her for the
unmatched service she has rendered on behalf of the General Assembly; and extend
to her their most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Lindsey
Napier.
