RESOLUTION
Recognizing
and commending Rural Metro Ambulance on the occasion of its 63rd anniversary;
and for other purposes.
WHEREAS,
Rural Metro Ambulance has 470 paramedics, EMTs, and support staff working in
Georgia, and has been working diligently for the past 63 years to provide
Georgians with life-saving services; and
WHEREAS,
through a coordinated, state-wide network, Rural Metro serves as one of the
emergency medical services professionals of Georgia that respond to almost 1
million calls for assistance annually, with employees risking their lives on a
daily basis to aid those in need; and
WHEREAS,
in the State of Georgia, there are over 14,000 emergency medical personnel who
provide the essential life-saving services associated with out-of-hospital
emergency medical care delivery; and
WHEREAS,
the dedication and hard work of Rural Metro employees, often at great personal
sacrifice to themselves and their families, give Georgians peace of mind in
knowing that, should an emergency medical need arise, well-trained and
compassionate emergency medical professionals will be available to render swift
and effective assistance; and
WHEREAS,
this remarkable corporate citizen has established a glowing reputation
throughout Georgia by offering highly trained employees familiar with the latest
treatment modalities, medications, and standards of care; and
WHEREAS,
the dedication to saving lives of Georgians consistently demonstrated by this
amazing company is worthy of recognition.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body commend the first responders, emergency medical technicians, cardiac
technicians, and paramedics of Rural Metro Ambulance for their service to the
people of Georgia and recognize Rural Metro Ambulance for its 63-year commitment
to providing services that make communities safer.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Rural Metro
Ambulance.
