RESOLUTION
Recognizing
Gwinnett County Spelling Bee Champion Asad Ladhani; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS,
on Saturday, January 17, 2009, Asad Ladhani, a sixth grader at Lanier Middle
School, won the highly contested Gwinnett County Spelling Bee; and
WHEREAS,
he correctly spelled
dicotyledon
to take home the top prize and claim the prestigious title for the second
consecutive year; and
WHEREAS,
this achievement is the culmination of hard work and determination on the part
of this outstanding student, who deserves much credit for his energy and
dedication to academic excellence; and
WHEREAS,
the Gwinnett community and the State of Georgia take great pride in the
accomplishments of this fine young scholar.
NOW,
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of
this body join in recognizing Asad Ladhani, winner of the Gwinnett County
Spelling Bee for the second consecutive year, and extend to him their sincere
best wishes in his future academic endeavors and in every aspect of his
life.
BE
IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized
and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Asad Ladhani.
