A RESOLUTION


Commending a future leader, Jamie Murray; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Jamie Murray has fully and faithfully participated in Leadership Putnam 2010, a local program applying the dynamic principles of Leadership Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Leadership Putnam selects exceptional young leaders in the county and provides a rigorous and rousing educational program designed to equip them to be outstanding future leaders of Georgia and Putnam County; and

WHEREAS, Leadership Putnam recognizes demonstrated and potential leadership, where selection alone stands as a testament to the promising character of its gifted participants, who seize this opportunity to better themselves and, ultimately, their community; and

WHEREAS, participation in Leadership Putnam requires a substantial investment of time and energy, but the participants are enriched by the relationships they form with each other, as well as by the knowledge and understanding they gain from experts on such topics as governmental organization, education, private enterprise, natural resources, finance, and rural and urban development; and

WHEREAS, the formal and informal exchange of ideas among the diverse participants in Leadership Putnam fosters fresh insights, broadens perspectives, and renews motivation.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body wholeheartedly commend Jamie Murray for an exemplary performance and energetic participation in Leadership Putnam 2010 and look with great anticipation toward the bright and promising future of this community leader.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Clerk of the House of Representatives is authorized and directed to transmit an appropriate copy of this resolution to Jamie Murray.
