IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:
SECTION
1.
Chapter
5 of Title 40 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to drivers'

drivers' licenses, by revising subsection (c) and by adding a new subsection to
read as follows:
"(c)
The department, upon receiving satisfactory evidence of any violation of the
restrictions of such license, may suspend the license for a period of six
months. The department shall reinstate the license at the end of six months

mail.
(d)

restrictions imposed in a restricted license issued to him or

charged with driving in violation of a restriction requiring that he or she wear
eyeglasses or contact lenses, such person shall not be guilty of such offense if
he or she presents the trial court with admissible medical or other evidence
sufficient to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the trial court that he or she
no longer suffers from the vision condition that resulted in the imposition of
such restriction."
