Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 28 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding the General Assembly, so as to provide that the seat of any member of the General Assembly shall be declared vacant on the thirtieth day following such member filing a statement of candidacy with the Federal Election Commission declaring that such member is a candidate for a federal elective office; to provide an exception; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
