A RESOLUTION proposing an amendment to the Constitution so as to provide that the proceeds of excise taxes on the sale of contact lenses and spectacles for which a prescription is required by law be dedicated to funding the wage compensation of deputy sheriffs; to provide that such funds shall not lapse; to provide for related matters; to provide for the submission of this amendment for ratification or rejection; and for other purposes.
