Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Chapter 1 of Title 35 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to general provisions regarding law enforcement officers and agencies, so as to facilitate statewide uniformity in policies and procedures concerning law enforcement contact with victims of sexual assault and sexual assault evidence kit notifications; to require the Attorney General to develop, maintain, and publicly post a document concerning the rights of victims of sexual assault; to provide for oversight by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council; to provide for rules and regulations; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
