Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Article 4 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to dangerous instrumentalities, so as to regulate the sale of handguns; to provide for definitions; to prohibit any person who is not a licensed dealer to purchase more than one handgun within any 30 day period; to require a background check; to provide for collection of fees; to provide for the promulgation of rules and regulations; to provide for criminal penalties; to provide for exceptions; to provide for related matters; to provide an effective date; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
