Summary

A BILL to be entitled an Act to amend Code Section 19-7-20 and Chapter 10 of Title 31 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to circumstances of legitimacy, disproving legitimacy, and legitimation by marriage of parents and recognition of child and vital records, respectively, so as to remove restrictions on birth names; to remove requirements on the surname of a child; to provide for related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
