Florida Senate - 2012 CS for SB 832 By the Committees on Governmental Oversight and Accountability; and Higher Education 585-03099-12 2012832c1 1 A bill to be entitled 2 An act relating to a review under the Open Government 3 Sunset Review Act; amending s. 267.1736, F.S., which 4 provides an exemption from public records requirements 5 for information identifying a donor or prospective 6 donor to the direct-support organization established 7 by the University of Florida in the historic 8 preservation of the City of St. Augustine; saving the 9 exemption from repeal under the Open Government Sunset 10 Review Act; removing the scheduled repeal of the 11 exemption; providing an effective date. 12 13 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: 14 15 Section 1. Subsection (9) of section 267.1736, Florida 16 Statutes, is amended to read: 17 267.1736 Direct-support organization.— 18 (9)(a)Any information identifyingThe identity ofa donor 19 or prospective donor to the direct-support organization who 20 desires to remain anonymous, and all information identifying21such donor or prospective donor,is confidential and exempt from 22the provisions ofs. 119.07(1) and s. 24(a), Art. I of the State 23 Constitution; and that anonymity must be maintained in the 24 auditor’s report. The university and the Auditor General shall 25 have access to all records of the direct-support organization 26 upon request. 27(b) This subsection is subject to the Open Government28Sunset Review Act in accordance with s.119.15and shall stand29repealed on October 2, 2012, unless reviewed and saved from30repeal through reenactment by the Legislature.31 Section 2. This act shall take effect October 1, 2012.
