| 7 | Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida: |

| 9 | Section 1. Section 501.143, Florida Statutes, is repealed. |
| 10 | Section 2. Section 205.1969, Florida Statutes, is amended |
| 11 | to read: |
| 12 | 205.1969 Health studios; consumer protection.-A county or |
| 13 | municipality may not issue or renew a business tax receipt for |
| 14 | the operation of a health studio pursuant to ss. 501.012-501.019 |
| 15 | |
| 16 | business exhibits a current license, registration, or letter of |
| 17 | exemption from the Department of Agriculture and Consumer |
| 18 | Services. |
| 19 | Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 2011. |
