House . . . . . ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— ————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————————— Senator Diaz moved the following: 1 Senate Amendment 2 3 Delete lines 1074 - 1110 4 and insert: 5 2. For students initially eligible in the 2019-2020 school 6 year or thereafter, the calculated amount for a student to 7 attend an eligible private school shall be 95 percent of the 8 funds per FTE for a district in the Florida Education Finance 9 Program for a student in the basic program, plus a per FTE share 10 of funds for all categorical programs, except for the 11 Exceptional Student Education Guaranteed Allocation. 12 3.b.The scholarship amount awarded to a student enrolled 13 in a Florida public school in which a student is enrolled and 14 that is different from the school to which the student was 15 assignedthat is located outside the districtin which the16student residesor in a lab school as defined in s. 1002.32, is 17 limited to $750. 182.The annual limit for a scholarship under sub19subparagraph 1.a. shall be reduced by:20a.Twelve percent if the student’s household income level21is greater than or equal to 200 percent, but less than 21522percent, of the federal poverty level.23b.Twenty-six percent if the student’s household income24level is greater than or equal to 215 percent, but less than 23025percent, of the federal poverty level.26c.Forty percent if the student’s household income levelis27greater than or equal to 230 percent, but less than 245percent,28of the federal poverty level.29d.Fifty percent if the student’s household income levelis30greater than or equal to 245 percent, but less than or equalto31260 percent, of the federal poverty level.32 Section 9. Effective upon becoming a law, paragraph (i) is 33 added to subsection (11) of section 1002.40, Florida Statutes, 34 and paragraphs (a) and (g) of subsection (11) and paragraph (a) 35 of subsection (13) of that section are amended, to read: 36 1002.40 The Hope Scholarship Program.— 37 (11) FUNDING AND PAYMENT.— 38 (a) The calculated amount for a student to attend an 39 eligible private school shall be 95 percent of the funds per FTE 40 for a district in the Florida Education Finance Program for a 41 student in the basic program, plus a per FTE share of funds for 42 all categorical programs, except for the Exceptional Student 43 Education Guaranteed Allocation.The maximum amount
