       The Committee on Banking and Insurance (Smith) recommended the
       following:
       
    1         Senate Amendment

    3         In title, delete lines 24 - 27
    4  and insert:
    5         the open-end mortgage; providing that a requirement
    6         that certain mortgages be cancelled within a specified
    7         timeframe does not apply to an open-ended mortgage
    8         existing before a certain date if the loan agreement
    9         contained procedures for cancelling the mortgage;
   10         providing applicability
