AN ACT REPLACING REFERENCES TO "CRIPPLED" AND "DEFECTIVE EYESIGHT" IN THE GENERAL STATUTES.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That the general statutes be amended to replace any references to (1) the term "crippled" with "disabled", and (2) the term "defective eyesight" with "visually impaired".

Statement of Purpose:

To remove offensive terminology from the general statutes.
