AN ACT EXPANDING THE APPLICABILITY OF SALES TAX-FREE WEEK.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That section 12-407e of the general statutes be amended to expand the applicability of the sales tax-free week that begins on the third Sunday in August to include higher priced clothing and footwear and extend such tax-free status to other consumer goods.

Statement of Purpose:

To expand the sales tax-free week to include higher priced clothing and footwear and other consumer goods.
