AN ACT CONCERNING THE WAIVER OF FINES AND PENALTIES FOR CERTAIN BUSINESS REGULATION VIOLATIONS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That the general statutes be amended to abate any fine or penalty assessed to a business by a state agency for a first-time violation of a noncriminal regulation when the violating business takes full remedial measures within thirty days of such assessment.
Statement of Purpose:
To permit businesses to remediate regulatory problems without penalty if such problems are remediated in a timely manner.
