AN ACT CONCERNING ENERGY ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS FOR LOW-INCOME CUSTOMERS.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

That title 16a of the general statutes be amended to increase appropriations for existing state energy assistance programs in order to expand such programs to all electric and gas ratepayers who earn less than sixty per cent of the state's median income.

Statement of Purpose:

To provide more low-income customers with energy assistance.
