AN ACT CONCERNING NOTICE BY THE DEPARTMENT OF CHILDREN AND FAMILIES UPON THE OPENING OF AN INVESTIGATION.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 17a-103b of the general statutes be amended to require the Department of Children and Families to give notice of a complaint of child abuse to the child's guardian, custodial parent and noncustodial parent upon the opening of an investigation.
Statement of Purpose:
To provide the noncustodial parent with notice of any DCF investigation opened regarding the parent's child.
