AN ACT REPEALING THE REQUIREMENT THAT BOARDS OF EDUCATION BE RESPONSIBLE FOR PRESCHOOL TUITION PAYMENTS.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That sections 10-264l and 10-264o of the general statutes be amended to repeal the requirement that local and regional boards of education be responsible for paying any tuition charged for students enrolled in a preschool program offered at an interdistrict magnet school or a charter school.
Statement of Purpose:
To repeal the requirement that local and regional boards of education are responsible for paying preschool program tuition at magnet schools and charter schools.
