AN ACT ESTABLISHING A RATIO OF FIVE HUNDRED STUDENTS PER SOCIAL WORKER FOR EACH SCHOOL DISTRICT.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That chapter 169 of the general statutes be amended to establish a standard ratio of five hundred students per social worker for each school district.
Statement of Purpose:
To assure that there is an adequate number of social workers in each school district who can provide assistance with special education and mental health issues.
