AN ACT REQUIRING THE HEALTH CARE CABINET TO STUDY ESTABLISHING A HEALTH CARE COST GROWTH TARGET AND REPORT ON TOTAL STATE-WIDE HEALTH CARE SPENDING.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
That section 19a-725 of the general statutes be amended to require the Health Care Cabinet to study methods of establishing a health care cost growth target and to monitor and report on total state-wide health care spending.
Statement of Purpose:
To lower the cost and improve the quality of health care in the state.
