AN ACT REQUIRING THE DISCLOSURE OF CERTAIN RECORDS OF THE FOUNDATION OF THE UNIVERSITY OF CONNECTICUT.

Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:

Section 1. (NEW) (Effective October 1, 2016) Notwithstanding the provisions of chapter 47 of the general statutes, any foundation that is or has been established for The University of Connecticut shall disclose as a public record, as defined in section 1-200 of the general statutes, the following: (1) All wages and salaries paid to the staff or faculty of the university; (2) the identity of any person, firm or corporation or other entity donating funds or other things of value to the foundation, unless the donor has requested that such donor's identity not be publicly disclosed; and (3) the schedule for any naming right tied to the amount of funds donated, including, but not limited to, the naming of buildings and department chairs.

This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections:
Section 1	October 1, 2016	New section

Statement of Purpose:

To require certain records of the foundation of The University of Connecticut to be publicly disclosed.
