AN ACT CONCERNING A STATE-WIDE WATER USE PLAN.
Be it enacted by the Senate and House of Representatives in General Assembly convened:
Section 1. (Effective from passage) Not later than October 1, 2011, the Secretary of the Office of Policy and Management, the Commissioners of Environmental Protection and Public Health and the chairperson of the Department of Public Utility Control shall develop a state-wide water use plan. In developing such plan, said secretary, commissioners and chairperson shall review and consider, but not be limited to, any findings and recommendations contained in the most recent reports developed pursuant to sections 25-33n to 25-33p, inclusive, of the general statutes and the content of any water supply plan developed pursuant to section 25-32d of the general statutes. Not later than January 1, 2012, the secretary, commissioners and chairperson shall submit such state-wide water use plan, in accordance with the provisions of section 11-4a of the general statutes, to the joint standing committees of the General Assembly having cognizance of matters relating to the environment, public health and energy.
This act shall take effect as follows and shall amend the following sections: | ||
